Murat ve Berkay’ın çatışan ve çalışan farklı tekniklerinin, ortak gayelerinin, kendilerine edindikleri ve üstlerine kalan dertlerinin, birlikte içtikleri kahvelerin, paylaşmadıkları eğitimlerinin, paylaştıkları sokakların, yaşadıkları tecrübelerin, anlatmak istedikleri hikayelerin, boyanın, metalin, ahşabın, makinenin, ışığın, birlikte yaratmak dürtüsünün, bir araya gelmesiyle doğmuş bir sergi “MHIE”.
2 farklı isimmiş gibi duran 1 isim. 2 farklı akıldan çıkmış tek işler.
Having been exhibited globally, photographer Murat and painter Berkay explore their art and practices in a manner novel to both. Combining their techniques and approach, artworks presented in this exhibition wandering between the disciplines of photography and painting presents us a new vision which is neither photography nor painting but rather a sentimental connection and clues to both practices.
Through their conflicting but converging techniques, from coffees shared, issues undertaken, from education that they didn’t share, from the streets they share, from experiences they faced, from the stories they crave to tell, from metal, from machine, from wood, from light, from the instinct of creating together, Mass Hallucination, ill Education is born.

The word ‘Seyir’ is one of the comprehensive words in Turkish, which means taking a journey from one place to another, to look and also to daydream. Pieces in this exhibition are the outcomes of a 2 years period of looking, wandering and researching.
The exhibition presents works which travels uncannily along the path of History of Digital Culture, new dimensions of photographical expression and digital image production. At one point photographs in this exhibition try to exploit as much as technological tools where as they are also an attempt to re-shape, re-structure the limits of provided technology and its rules which are set by software developers.

Murat Durusoy’un "Unutmamak için Portreler" serisi, yakın tarihimize damgasını vuran toplumsal olaylardaki ana karakterlerin televizyonda yakalanmış görüntülerinden oluşuyor. Manipüle edilerek değiştirilmiş hayalsi imgeler, kabus gibi üzerimize çöken, toplumsal travmalara yol açan olayları hafızamızdan geri çağırırken, yaşadığımız toplumun karakterini de ortaya koyuyor.
Tankut Aykut Galeride, Karakter sergisi kapsamında sergilenmiştir. Küratör: Elif Gül Tirben
Murat Durusoy’s series Portraits for Not Forgetting features images captured from television of some of the main characters of landmark social events in our recent history. Manipulated, dreamlike images urge us to recall events that have caused social trauma, revealing the character of the society we live in.
